Jilla hospital's IVF centre was started in 1997. It was the first IVF centre of the region. The first IVF baby of the region was born in our hospital in 1998.

Similarly our IVF centre has to its credit :

•  The first donor egg baby
•  The first ICSI baby
•  The first TESA + ICSI baby

Till date more than 250 babies have been born through our IVF centre. Our take home baby rate is 30%. We attribute this success to excellent infrastructure, keen scientific approach, dedicated well trained staff, patient friendly attitude, highest quality control and most cost effective pricing. IVF consists of fertilizing oocytes (eggs) with sperms outside the body in the IVF lab and transferring embryos into the uterus. ICSI consists of injecting a single sperm into oocyte under high magnification inverted microscope.

With these two procedures it is possible to treat :

•  Cases with blocked fallopian tubes (IVF)
•  Low sperm count and motility problems (by ICSI)
•  Absence of sperms in semen and their presence in testis (TESA/ICSI)
•  Absent oocytes (menopause) by donor egg IVF
•  Absent / diseased uterus by surrogacy

Our IVF Centre was the first of our region and is also the best. We have given IVF pregnancies to many of our couples. Our 1st IVF pregnancy was also our 1st IVF case, she had failed twice in Bombay with the little finance that she had she approached our centre and in the very 1st cycle, she conceived. Her son is now 9 years old doing very well in school. Our 1st donor egg pregnancy patient was a 50 years old menopausal women whose 22 years old young niece donated her eggs and she was happy to have triplets. We started ICSI and realized the finer points in the technique after continuous practice and with the help of an experienced embryologist from Poona we performed our 1st case. She was a teacher. She conceived twins in her first cycle, this was also our first ICSI case and her boys are now 5 years old.

Most of our patients are determined and we too advise them not to give up, "If you have a uterus you will have a baby."  We firmly believe in this.

We have more than 250 IVF and over 1500 IUI pregnancies to our credit. Most of this success is due to a very determined and stable staff working with dedication. "Success" is the aim of our team.
